Which one of these two vacuum cleaner should I buy?

I have that Bissell, and am sort of, kind of, happy with it. The lever that releases the canister broke after about 6 months. I use tiny needle nosed pliers to release it. I have a puppy, and we are doing remodeling in our house. If the pup chews on wood, the vacuum can't deal with the splinters. It actually can't deal with anything larger than a small pea. It does do a good job for regular cleaning though, but if you have pets, or have something on the carpet larger than a dried pea, the Bissell may not be the machine for you.
