Where are there statistics relating text messaging and auto fatalities?

what difference will that make? the "text messaging" is not the culprit, it's the driver not "DRIVING" and you can't blame phones, seat belts, alcohol, speed, anything else but the driver! There is no excuse and "devices" should not be scapegoated for bad driving and punishment for good driver's. Some people can actually walk and chew bubblegum at the same time.
