How can i make my 1992 stock automatic honda prelude faster.?

Im getting a 1992 honda prelude. i was wondering what can i do to it to make it as fast as possible with about 1,000 dollars. i was thinking a cold air intake and an exhaust system. but can you guys give me brands and prices when you list the things i should buy. thanks alot i appreciate it. oh ya and i was wondering where i can get my speedometer customized. i want the blue lighting. thanks guys
